A2 toll plazas
The A2 motorway or Autoroute du Nord links Paris with the gateway to Belgium. The tolls on the A2 also link the towns of Cambrai and Valenciennes!
On the tourism front
As well as linking France and Belgium, the A2 toll plazas are also a great way to discover the towns of Cambrai and Valenciennes.
Visit Cambrai
Cambrai's belfry is one of the city's most famous monuments. There is also the Porte de Paris, the Church of Saint-Géry and the Tank 1917 museum in Flesquières.
Visit Valenciennes
Valenciennes is an amazing town that's well worth a visit. You can visit the Basilique Notre-Dame-du-Saint-Cordon, the Hôtel de Ville and the Museum of Fine Arts!
Tolls on the A2
The motorway has only one toll barrier on the A2: the Hordain Thun l'Evêque toll which is in a so-called "closed" system. In the Belgium > Paris direction, you take a ticket or, if you have an electronic toll tag, your entry onto the motorway is recorded automatically. Payment will then be made at the motorway exit toll, depending on your destination. In the Paris > Belgium direction, the price of the toll depends on your entry station on the motorway (see list below) and your class of vehicle.
