How to get roadside assistance on the motorway from professionals?

Is your engine overheating, your tire flat, or have you run out of fuel? For your safety and that of your passengers, don't take unnecessary risks: don't attempt to repair it yourself! On the motorway, only authorized breakdown services are permitted to provide roadside assistance or towing, in strict compliance with all safety regulations.

To get roadside assistance on the Sanef and Sapn motorways, call for help via:

  1. the +33 9 708 08 709 (only if you are traveling on the Sanef or Sapn motorways)

How to effectively raise the alarm in an emergency situation on the motorway?

In case of breakdown or accident, the immediate priority is to raise the alarm.

  • Stop on the hard shoulder
  • Put on your high-visibility vest (mandatory in your vehicle)
  • Get out of the vehicle and move to safety behind the guardrails
  • Call the +33 9 708 08 709 (Sanef and SAPN networks only) or use the orange emergency phone or the SOS Autoroute app: your best allies for safely alerting emergency services and waiting for them.

However, forget the warning triangle! On the motorway, it is not mandatory and exposes you to dangerous traffic.

How do you indicate where you are located? It's all in the sign!

Nothing looks more like a highway than another highway… So how do you find your location to help roadside assistance teams reach you when you don't have the SOS Autoroute app that automatically locates you? It's simple: look for the white and red signs located in the central part of the highway. They indicate the name of the highway you're on and the kilometer marker!
