How long does it take to recharge my electric vehicle at motorway service areas?
Charging time depends on many factors related to the specific characteristics of each vehicle and the weather conditions. It depends primarily on your battery level when you start charging. So be careful not to exceed the limits! Generally speaking, with ultra-fast charging stations, it takes less than 20 minutes to get back on the road with an 80% charged battery.
What types of charging stations can I find at motorway service areas?
The electric vehicle market is constantly evolving (different models, different charging plugs, etc.). That's why our service areas are equipped with charging stations adapted to all types of vehicles (multi-standard/ultra-fast), allowing you to choose the one that best suits your car and your needs. To find out which service area to charge your battery at, consult the services at our service areas or download the Bip&Go app.
How can I find out where the charging stations are along my route?
To date, 100% of our service areas are equipped with electric vehicle charging points (72 service areas and 4 rest areas), with over 90% being ultra-fast charging points. These charging points are accessible 24/7, allowing you to conveniently and easily recharge your vehicle every 50 km on average. The charging stations are easily identifiable within the service areas, allowing you to park and resume your journey safely. To locate charging points and partner operators at our service areas, visit the list of equipped service areas on our highways or the Bip&Go app.
How can I find out the availability of charging stations?
Most charging stations are equipped with enough charging points to meet demand. However, during peak periods, but never while driving, you can check the availability of charging points on the Bip&Go app or on our partner operator apps such as Chargemap.
How can I pay for my electric charging at motorway service areas?
The charging stations available at our service areas offer several payment methods to easily pay for your charging, whether you are a subscriber to a mobile operator or not. Mobile applications such as Bip&Go allow you to pay for charging. Simply create an account and add a payment method (credit card, PayPal account, etc.). You can also scan the QR code on the charging station with your smartphone to make the payment, or pay with an RFID or bank card (this service is currently being rolled out across all our service areas).
How much will it cost me to recharge my electric vehicle at motorway service areas?
Electric vehicle charging costs can vary from one operator to another, just like fuel prices. To stay informed about the prices charged by each operator (Engie, Fastned, Total Energie, Tesla, Ionity, etc.), we encourage you to check the operator's information panel at the entrance to the charging station. You can also download the Bip&Go app or any other app that allows you to view and compare charging costs for your electric vehicle.
